December 8th – Winter Crew 2010-2011
Though we’re still waiting for the snowfall that kicks things off no-one is letting that get them down as our pre-season training for 2010-2011 is in full swing. We have a great crew of instructors, backcountry guides and support staff this year hailing from places such as The UK, France, The Netherlands, Portugal, New Zealand and Australia. Though we can’t begin introducing newbies to the resorts proper everyone has been out checking whats on offer – yesterday was Hakuba Goryu orientation; check out the crew on the Gondola Station deck.

November 24th – Winter is on its Way! Yeay!

Autumn is well underway here in Hakuba. The sharp reds, yellows and oranges of three weeks ago have mostly finished now as many trees have lost all their leaves. The peaks surrounding town have had some promising early season snowfalls, with one brief snowfall in town too!
Evergreen is gearing up for winter, the first parties are being organised, winter staff will start rolling in soon and already bookings are filling up for everything from ski and snowboard lessons to backcountry courses, avalanche courses and daycare.
As the locals know early December can be a perfect time for those who want to avoid the crowds so fingers crossed for some big early dumps! Once winter begins get your weather updates from our Hakuba Snow Report updated daily in our Evergreen blog.
If you`re looking for a sublime winter shredding experience the Japanese Alps is a magic part of the world, so we`ll see you here for some epic turns in about a month!
